Recognized as a pioneer in Forensic Video Analysis applications, Grant Fredericks has been examining video evidence for over twenty-five years. He is a former police officer and Coordinator of the Vancouver Police Forensic Video Unit in Canada and continues to provide expert evidence in many of the most complicated criminal court cases involving video evidence.
Grant is a contract instructor of forensic video applications at the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA and is the Principal Instructor of Digital Multi-media Evidence Processing for the Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association, an organization that has trained more than 1,500 government video analysts from throughout the world. He is also the Team Leader of LEVA’s Forensic Video Analysis Certification Program.
Grant’s has contributed as an on-air consultant for countless broadcast television programs including CNN, CBC, BBC, MSNBC, Discovery Channel, Court TV, FOX News, On the Record With Greta Van Susteren, ABC’s 20/20, Good Morning America and World News Tonight.
He is the digital multimedia evidence advisor to the International Association of Chiefs of Police for its police in-car video program, which is sponsored by the US Department of Justice.
The majority of Grant’s work focuses on conducting examinations of video evidence and providing testimony in criminal and civil cases.
